Linking External Accounts on First Commerce Digital Banking
First Commerce Digital Banking allows you to connect to other financial institutions to view your available balances or transfer money between institutions.
In order to add another financial institution to your home screen to check your balance, scroll to the bottom of your home screen and look for the “Link Account” section. Tap the “get started” button.
This will bring up a new screen. In the search field, type in the name of the financial institution you have an account with. As you type, suggestions will appear. When you see the institution you would like to select, tap on the name. This will pull up a login screen. Use your account credentials with that financial institution and then tap on the “Continue” button. Now your linked account will show up on your home screen.
This process only allows for checking balances. If you wish to transfer money between First Commerce and an external institution, you will need to connect this account using another feature. To do this, tap on the menu button at the upper left side of the screen.
On the left side of the screen, a menu of options will slide out. Look for the option in this list entitled “Services.” Tap on that and then tap on “Add External Account.”
You will now be taken to a form to fill out. The first step is adding in the pertinent details such as account number, account type, and routing number. Add this information and then tap on the “Continue” button.
Within five business days, you will see two small microdeposits on your external account statement. Once you see those, return to this same form and look for “Step 2” where you will see a link to “enter the amounts” of your microdeposits. Filling in the correct amounts verifies the account and will allow First Commerce Digital Banking access to it for transferring money through our normal Funds Transfer process.
