Building Bright Financial Futures
At First Commerce, we are committed to empowering generations and transforming the communities we serve. One way we do that is by helping to build bright financial futures through our MyWay Scholarship program. Each year in May, we award multiple $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing degrees in higher education, and who demonstrate excellence in school and beyond. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be between 17-29 years old and have a First Commerce checking account. If you are not an FCCU member, you may open a checking account and be immediately eligible to apply. Scholarships will be paid directly to the student’s institution of higher learning and can be used for expenses such as tuition, fees, and books. 2025 applications are closed. 2026 applications will open in February 2026.
