Flock Together for A Cause: Inaugural Decorate A Flamingo Contest
The inaugural Decorate a Flamingo contest — a vibrant new addition to the #FlamingoChallenge fundraiser — wrapped up with a festive Frannies Fly Home celebration on Thursday, October 31, 2025, at the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Cancer Center.
The #FlamingoChallenge is an annual fundraiser held each October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to support local breast cancer patients. First Commerce partners with hospital systems across North Florida and South Georgia, ensuring every dollar stays in the community.
Franny, the new mascot of the #FlamingoChallenge, brings fresh energy and a bold “survivor” spirit to the fundraising campaign.
Altrua Global Solutions, an in-kind sponsor of the #FlamingoChallenge, generously printed 5-foot-tall Franny cutouts that served as eye-catching canvases for the Decorate a Flamingo contest.
Participants — from individuals to local businesses — were invited to express their creativity by decorating a Franny, competing for bragging rights and exciting prizes.
The best part? These beautifully decorated Frannies are now proudly displayed at TMH’s Cancer Center, spreading love, encouragement, and a splash of color to patients and visitors alike.
The competition in the Decorate a Flamingo contest was fierce — but in the end, everyone came out a winner!
