2024 Annual Business Meeting

When and Where

The 2024 Annual Business Meeting of First Commerce Credit Union is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at our RWF Administrative Facility, 2073 Summit Lake Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32317.The business meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m., and during the meeting we will announce the 2025 Board of Directors.

Who Can Vote?

To be eligible to vote, members must be at least 18 years old and in good standing according to the credit union’s policy as of April 1, 2025.

Election Procedures

If there is more than one candidate for a seat, and a ballot-based election is necessary, members may vote at credit union offices, by absentee ballot by mail prior to the meeting, or by ballot at the meeting. Ballot boxes and printed ballots will be available in each credit union office from March 31 – April 4, 2025.Members wishing to cast an absentee ballot must request an absentee ballot by writing to the Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Credit Union, P.O. Box 6416, Tallahassee, Florida 32314. Requests for absentee ballots must be received by March 14, 2025 and ballots must be returned to the credit union by April 7, 2025.Ballots and ballot boxes will be available at the annual meeting for members who have not already voted. All voting must be completed before the beginning of the meeting. The Audit Committee will oversee the election tellers, who are responsible for the ballot boxes and the integrity of the vote. The votes will be tallied by the tellers at the meeting, and the results will be announced during the meeting. The tellers will ensure that each person voting is eligible to vote and keep a record of those who voted.

Nominees For The 2025 Board of Directors

Board members are elected from the membership of the credit union and serve three-year terms. The Board of Directors guides the activities of the credit union for the benefit of all members.The nominating committee has chosen three, highly qualified candidates, for the three open positions: Kathy Arrant, John M. Grayson, and Casey Stoutamire.

Board Nominees

Kathy Arrant has served on the Board of Directors of First Commerce Credit Union since 2007. She is the Firm Administrator for the King & Wood Law Firm, as well as the Elder Law Coordinator, and a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Kathy has also served as Executive Director of the Tallahassee Bar Association, the Legal Aid Foundation, and CEO/President of Elder Care Services, all local non-profit organizations dedicated to helping people in our community.Kathy’s knowledge of the legal system, her experience with non-profits, and leadership abilities are a great benefit to the credit union. Kathy is a member of Leadership Tallahassee Class XII and Curriculum Co-Chair for Class XV. She is also a member of Sunrise Rotary of Tallahassee, and served as Treasurer for four years. She has also served as Past Treasurer of The Greater Area Chamber of Commerce.Kathy enjoys and believes in advocating for the credit union movement. She has been a member of First Commerce Credit Union since 1984 and is honored to be working with dedicated staff and volunteers who truly are committed to “The Power of You.”
John M. Grayson has served on the Board of Directors of First Commerce Credit Union since 2010. He is presently the Chief Financial Officer at the Bond Community Health Center located in Tallahassee, Florida.He is the owner of Grayson Accounting & Consulting, P.A., a certified public accounting firm located in Tallahassee, Florida. Grayson Accounting & Consulting provides accounting, auditing, attestation, tax and consulting services to individuals, small businesses, government, and not-for-profit organizations.Mr. Grayson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bethune-Cookman University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Grayson has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1995.Before operating his accounting practice on a full-time basis in 2003, he was employed as the Inspector General for the Florida Public Service Commission. He is a charter member of the Association of Inspectors General and while at the PSC earned the Certified Inspector General designation. Mr. Grayson is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and a licensed private investigator.Mr. Grayson also serves on the Board of Directors of Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce.
Casey Stoutamire has served on the Board of Directors of First Commerce Credit Union since 2017. She has been with the Florida Dental Association (FDA) since December 2012. Casey is currently the Chief Legal Officer for the Florida Dental Association where she, among other things, assists members with Insurance issues including PPOs, Medicaid and Medicare; represents the FDA in front of the Board of Dentistry; and serves as Parliamentarian for the Board of Trustees and Association.Casey was born and raised in Monticello, Florida. She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida where she majored in Criminology and Russian. She then received her Juris Doctor cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 2009 and is a member of the Florida Bar.Before joining the FDA, Casey worked as a lobbyist for the LeadingAge Florida, which represents nursing homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Continuing Care Retirement Communities and Affordable Housing for Seniors around the state. She also worked at a non-profit association in Clearwater handling Medicare and Medicaid compliance issues (Special Needs Trusts, Medicare Set Asides and Medicaid Lien resolutions).
