2025 Annual Business Meeting

When and Where

The 2025 Annual Business Meeting of First Commerce Credit Union is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at our RWF Administrative Facility, 2073 Summit Lake Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32317.The business meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m., and during the meeting we will announce the 2026 Board of Directors.

Who Can Vote?

To be eligible to vote, members must be at least 18 years old and in good standing according to the credit union’s policy as of April 1, 2026.

Election Procedures

If there is more than one candidate for a seat, and a ballot-based election is necessary, members may vote at credit union offices, by absentee ballot by mail prior to the meeting, or by ballot at the meeting. Ballot boxes and printed ballots will be available in each credit union office from March 31 – April 4, 2026.Members wishing to cast an absentee ballot must request an absentee ballot by writing to the Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Credit Union, P.O. Box 6416, Tallahassee, Florida 32314. Requests for absentee ballots must be received by March 14, 2026 and ballots must be returned to the credit union by April 7, 2026.Ballots and ballot boxes will be available at the annual meeting for members who have not already voted. All voting must be completed before the beginning of the meeting. The Audit Committee will oversee the election tellers, who are responsible for the ballot boxes and the integrity of the vote. The votes will be tallied by the tellers at the meeting, and the results will be announced during the meeting. The tellers will ensure that each person voting is eligible to vote and keep a record of those who voted.

Nominees For The 2026 Board of Directors

Board members are elected from the membership of the credit union and serve three-year terms. The Board of Directors guides the activities of the credit union for the benefit of all members.The nominating committee has chosen two, highly qualified candidates, for the two open positions: Allen Neubauer and Shonda Knight.

Board Nominees

Mr. Neubauer has served as a member of the First Commerce Credit Union Board of Directors since 2016, currently as Chairman since 2020. He previously served in the roles of Secretary of the Board, and member of the FCCU Enterprise Risk Management Committee. He is the Deputy Director of Information Technology for the State Courts of Florida. He holds numerous advanced certifications in information technology, and a Certified Public Manager certification through Florida State University. Mr. Neubauer is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Shonda Knight is currently the Executive Director of Community and Media Relations for the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. The Community and Media Relations Unit disseminates public safety information, as well as coordinates and promotes LCSO’s outreach initiatives, creating and maintaining community partnerships. Under Knight’s leadership, in 2018, LCSO was awarded the top, statewide Community Relations Award from the Florida Public Relations Association and a Judges award from the organization in 2019. Prior to joining LCSO in March, 2017, Knight served as Executive Producer and Anchor for WCTV-TV in Tallahassee. The veteran journalist has more than 17 years of television newsroom experience. She oversaw many of the day-to-day operations of the news department. In addition, Knight anchored The Good Morning Show, the station’s most viewed newscast, as well as Eyewitness News at Noon. Knight was the first African American to co-anchor the morning shows at WCTV. Knight also served as an adjunct professor at Florida State University for eight years. She has former students now working as anchors, sportscasters, reporters and producers in television markets across the country. Knight is a 2011 Distinguished Alumni Honoree of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Knight is a Florida Associated Press award-winning journalist, several times over, and has served as Vice President of the Florida Associated Press Broadcasters. Among her many community affiliations, Knight is the Board Chair for Whole Child Leon and serves on the boards of The Domestic Violence Coordinating Council, Salvation Army and the North Florida Fair Association. She is also a member of the Florida Public Relations Association, the Network of Entrepreneurs and Business Advocates and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Shonda was elected to the FCCU Board of Directors in 2021 and is currently serving as the Board’s Community Liaison for events and sponsorships. She is the mother of two beautiful children, Zya and Zekiah.
