FCCU Foundation Hosts ‘Raising Money-Smart Kids’ Workshop with Tally MOBS

First Commerce Credit Union’s commitment to fostering brighter financial futures for people of all generations extends even to the youngest members of our community and the parents who set them up for success.

First Commerce and the FCCU Foundation hosted Tally MOBS (Moms of Babies and Toddlers) for a free workshop, “Raising Money-Smart Kids.”

Guests enjoyed snacks and coffee from Lucky Goat Coffee while the FCCU Foundation shared simple, age-appropriate ways to begin teaching children healthy money habits early.

The workshop also explored how to model smart financial behaviors at home, shaping how children think about money by observing everyday decisions.

The session emphasized that, rather than striving for perfection, what matters most is how parents communicate, make decisions, and model consistency in front of their children.

Small, everyday actions help children develop important skills such as delayed gratification, thoughtful decision-making, and emotional confidence around money.

The event showcased the FCCU Foundation’s signature approach: hosting fun, relaxed conversations about finances that meet attendees where they are and encourage meaningful dialogue.

“We were so excited to have so many new mamas joining us at all different ages and stages,” the Tally MOBS group shared in an Instagram post following the event.

The FCCU Foundation offers customized workshops to schools, businesses, nonprofits, and community groups across more than 40 counties in North Florida and South Georgia, helping people of all generations build confidence and reach their financial goals.
