We Believe in the POWER of Community!
In 2022, the third annual #FlamingoChallenge, held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, raised more than $100,000 to support local patients battling breast cancer, with donations still coming in over the holidays. The initiative, spearheaded by the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) Foundation and First Commerce Credit Union, was first launched three years ago during the height of the pandemic, when many community fundraisers had been cancelled due to public safety concerns. Since its inception, #FlamingoChallenge has raised more than $200,000, thanks to the continued support and generosity of individuals, businesses and other community organizations who participated in the challenge and made donations. This community challenge supports the patients and programs at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Walker Breast Program, SGMC Pearlman Cancer Center, and Archbold Medical Center. Member Testimonial
“I have been a member at First Commerce Credit Union since 1996. I must compliment your employee who went above and beyond the call of duty more so than any customer service representative I have ever experienced. She was very professional, friendly, and patient.”
