About the Liz Nix Fundraiser
In 2022, First Commerce launched a fundraiser to honor the memory of Liz Nix, a passionate advocate for animal welfare and mother of Rodney Nix, member of FCCU’s Nashville Advisory Council. In the first year, more than $4,000 was raised to support Hearts to Homes Humane Society in Nashville, Ga.
Due to the success and positive response, First Commerce expanded the Liz Nix Fundraiser across North Florida and South Georgia and heads into its fourth year of supporting local animal rescue organizations, including our Georgia markets: Nashville, Thomasville and Valdosta, and our Tallahassee, Florida market.
The Liz Nix Fundraiser for Animal Rescue runs during National Pet Month May 1 – May 31.
