All proceeds from First Commerce Credit Union’s Liz Nix Fundraiser for Animal Rescue support essential services that make our communities stronger: Spay and neuter programs, vaccinations, microchipping, and, most importantly, helping dogs and cats find loving, permanent homes.

First Commerce Credit Union invites you to join us for our Dogs for Dogs Cookouts, serving freshly grilled hot dog lunches for a great cause.
Lunch meals start at just $5, with 100% of proceeds benefiting local animal organizations as part of the 5th annual Liz Nix Fundraiser for Animal Rescue.

Every donation is recognized in our financial centers. With your donation, you receive these complimentary pet-friendly items. Together we will make a huge difference in the lives of our local pet populations. Thank you!
Blue Paws
For a $1 donation you can add your name to one of our blue paws – or maybe dedicate it to a special pet! The blue paws will hang on the wall throughout the month of May.
Gold Paws
For a $50+ donation you can add your name to one of our gold paws – or maybe dedicate it to a special pet! The gold paws will also hang on the wall throughout the month of May.
Pet Bag Caddy
For a $10+ donation you can get a pet waste bag caddy to take on your frequent walks!
Travel Water Bowl
For a $20+ donation you can take home a travel water bowl. These collapsable water bowls come in clutch when adventuring with your pet on a hot day.
Fur Removal Glove
For a $50+ donation you can get one of these very handy fur removal gloves. They won’t prevent your pet from shedding, but they do remove loose pet fur with ease.
Pet Accessory Bag
For a $100+ donation you can take home a pet accessory bag. Each bag comes with a set of portable dog bowls and have enough room to stash all of your pet’s many supplies.

About the Liz Nix Fundraiser
In 2022, First Commerce launched a fundraiser to honor the memory of Liz Nix, a passionate advocate for animal welfare and mother of Rodney Nix, member of FCCU’s Nashville Advisory Council. In the first year, more than $4,000 was raised to support Hearts to Homes Humane Society in Nashville, Ga.
Due to its success and positive response, First Commerce expanded the Liz Nix Fundraiser across North Florida and South Georgia and is now heading into its fifth year of supporting local animal rescue organizations. These efforts include organizations in our Georgia markets of Nashville, Thomasville, and Valdosta, as well as our Florida markets of Tallahassee and Panama City.
The Liz Nix Fundraiser for Animal Rescue runs during National Pet Month in May.
